Daena Santoyo is dedicated to cultivating theater arts, inspiration and knowledge, to children and families of the Ojai Valley. In 2012, Daena joined the Ojai Youth Entertainers Studio (OYES) team to direct and produce programs and entertainment. Her contributions and exceptional performance allowed her to step into the role of Artistic Executive Director of OYES in 2016.
An experienced Speech Level Singing vocalist, Daena studied vocal performance with SLS certified coaches and Broadway actress, Anne Kerry Ford. Since childhood, she has loved everything related to theatre and entertainment. Over her career, she has produced entertainment events for adults and children, directed over a dozen musical productions for OYES, studied Acting, Music, and Movement, and developed as a solo performing artist and music producer.
At OYES, Daena’s wealth of knowledge and love of children has allowed her to excel in her role as Director and Educator and fulfill her desire to work with others to provide children with an environment that fosters education, growth, and potential.
Daena is thrilled about the opportunity for OYES to offer theater professionals a place to share their knowledge and talent, and to work with a team of dedicated individuals who love their work and have a plethora of experience to teach children.
